The Johnston County Board of Elections conducts bi-annual,odd-year elections for the Town of Princeton. The term for the office of Mayor is 2 years, while the term for Commissioner is four years. Nonpartisan and at-large elections are held bi-annually on the first Tuesday in November of odd-numbered years for the Mayor and two Commissioner seats. The next election will be held on November 7, 2023. Positions for election/re-election are for Mayor and two of the Commissioner seats. Filing for the new terms will be established and held by the Johnston County Board of Elections.
* Early Voting: October 19/20 8-5pm, October 23-27 8-5pm, October 30 - November 3 8-5pm & November 4 8-3pm. * Early voting will be held at the Johnston County Board of Elections located at 205 S. 2nd St. Smithfield, NC 27577.
* Election Day - Voting will be located at Princeton Baptist Church at 211 S. Pearl St. Princeton, NC 27569 (November 7) (6:30am-7:30pm)
