Meet Mayoral Candidate Stacy Johnson

I am Stacy Johnson. I grew up in Kinston, NC, just outside of Princeton. I attended high school at Arendell Parrot Academy, and continued my education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Wood Science and Technology at North Carolina State University. In 1992 I met the love of my life, Carol. We were married in 1995 and have 6 adult children. I obtained my General Contractors license in 1999 and started building homes full time in 2007. In 2010, my business partner and I opened a residential development company, J&N Developers. My wife and I have been residents of Eastern North Carolina for most of our lives and have lived in the Princeton and surrounding communities for over 23 years. We are dedicated to the Princeton community, members of Princeton Baptist Church, and serve our community by volunteering and philanthropy through the Princeton Community Action committee and the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce. I am a dedicated family man. I enjoy spending time with my wife, children and parents. I have a strong sense of community and a passion for helping others.

My Campaign Platform

The Town of Princeton requires cohesive planning that assures adequate infrastructure, allows for modern conveniences, brings the community together, and maintains the peaceful and charming lifestyle we currently enjoy. Let's join together to tackle the current problems plaguing our town, as we prepare for its future.

Preparing for the Future:

Reviewing/Amending/Enforcing town ordinances
Enhancing new construction requirements
Resolving the sewer moratorium
Coordinating plans for existing and future infrastructure

Building a Better Community:

Enforcing rules set forth by our governing body
Improving safety by eliminating known illegal activities
Promoting free, fun and safe community events
Encouraging new businesses in town
Eliminating unsightly/condemned structures
Treating every citizen equally and fairly
